Rosie and the guys look dead on. Whats the story behind this?
~jaleho:iconjaleho: Oct 26, 2007, 11:59:46 PM
Oh, I think the guys were going to be on Rosie's show back in the day, and I figured she would like a picture like this. I think the plan was to send it to her before the appearance in the hopes she'd show it on air. She seemed the type to be all "look at this picture someone drew of us!" and they'd be like "yeah, we know that guy." I don't remember if I finished it in time and sent it to her or not. The other fans were pretty good about keeping me informed when they saw my stuff pop up elsewhere, and I never heard anything about this one, so I either took too long, or chickened out, or she never got it, or just didn't use it.

Ah, its too bad it didn't get the attention that was hoped for.
I'd ask what your relationship with the guys is, but thats not exactly any of my business! [ I guess i sorta asked there anyway eh].
All aside, I really like your work, its colourful and fun. To me those are two really important aspects of art in general. I've watched you, im interested to see more of your stuff.
Take Care,eh

I've met them a handful of times, they like my art (I was in issue 1 of their fan magazine and I recently did some illustrations for a set of playing cards they sell on their site). I lived in Tulsa for a while so I got to meet a lot of the local musicians and friends (most of the cartoons of musicians I have in my gallery are from Tulsa).

Thats really great. To be honest, I remember that first issue now. Im familiar with the cards also. I took a few more looks through your gallery here also, and did realize that i recognised more of the musicians, such as Admiral Twin.
You're work is really great, and a lot of fun. I look forward to seeing more!
