Getting Back Into Art

How do I break myself of the need to overplan or market artwork? I have a job, so art is my hobby. But I want to enjoy it, and FINISH it. How can I just pick up a pencil, draw, produce a finished piece of work, and then move on, without turning it into a whole massive production?
